My passion lies in utilizing the things I have learned over my 15 year recruiting career, and throughout my professional life, to mentor others. I love being in a role that allows me to create great relationships and help others attain their career goals.
I began my career in recruiting organically. Whenever someone was looking for a new employee I found myself saying, “I know someone that would be great for that position.” My husband was in the recruiting industry and encouraged me to utilize my match making and relationship building acumen professionally. I started off recruiting for administrative type roles and quickly began taking on positions in engineering and information technology. I was immediately hooked. Now, I can’t imagine myself doing anything else. After 10 years as a recruiter, I transitioned into a management and mentorship role. I feel very fortunate to have a career that allows me to help others, teach and learn new things every day.
As recruiters, I believe it is our responsibility to help professionals not only find a perfectly aligned company with the ideal position, but to keep in touch throughout the hiring process and throughout their career. Our job is to learn as much as we can about a candidate so we can help them advance their career while finding them an organization where they can be happy and thrive. A vital step in our recruiting process is arming our candidates with as much information about the hiring process as possible. They deserve to walk into an interview feeling prepared and confident. As a recruiting team, we take pride in providing everyone we work with timely feedback and ongoing communication. Finding a new job is one of the most stressful times in many people’s lives and we don’t take our responsibility of helping others make that transition lightly.
I have been married for 38 years and have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. I spend most of my time surrounded by family and friends. In my spare time, I love to shop and read. My husband and I enjoy camping in our beautiful state of Michigan and getting away together whenever the opportunity arises.
